We will depart from Rethymnon to the south coast of the island, driving through the dizzying Kourtaliotiko Gorge. At the request of all participants of the tour, we descend into the gorge to magnificent waterfalls. And, if you are a seasoned and fearless traveler, then you can swim in the cold water of the waterfall. Our next stop will be at Preveli Monastery, which is a sanctuary of Crete built by the Venetians and contains the famous miraculous Cross. Only for Orthodox Christians, one of the monks of the monastery takes out a cross and blesses people, reading a prayer.

Then we go to a panoramic view of Preveli beach, where we take pictures and enjoy the beauty of the rocks and the river flowing into the sea, surrounded by palm forest and thickets of oleanders. And I suggest swimming in the crystal waters of the Libyan Sea in the small bay of Damnoni. And the final point and highlight of the whole route: we will go to a village high in the mountains, where we will have lunch in a traditional tavern with a beautiful panoramic view of the Libyan Sea.
